Professional Experience
Mr. Luevanos’ practice focuses on the representation of health care providers against claims of medical malpractice, elder abuse, personal injury, and wrongful death. The scope of healthcare providers he has represented at The Beach Law Group includes physicians, nurses, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities, and hospice providers. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Luevanos practiced with firms in which he represented health care providers, including hospitals, medical groups, and pharmacies, in litigation related to billing practices and other business matters. His background includes assisting clients in litigation against both private and government health insurance programs regarding payment and billing disputes. He also handled fraud and abuse matters, including self-referral laws and anti-kickback laws, and he also assisted clients in complying with the state and federal requirements governing the protection, privacy and security of health information (HIPAA), including initial assessments and developing compliance strategies.
Education
Mr. Luevanos graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Loyola Law School where he served as an editor for the Loyola Law Review.
Community and Professional Affiliations
Mr. Luevanos is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as all United States District Courts in California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Ventura County Bar Association.
Personal
Mr. Luevanos lives in Simi Valley with his wife and two children.
