Professional Experience
David Christensen is a law and motion attorney with the firm and brings over 20 years of experience in complex litigation, research, and strategic legal writing that bring successful client outcomes. He excels in identifying and mitigating potential client risks and ensuring arguments are legally sound and operationally effective. With a career marked by both high-profile defense and significant litigation work, Mr. Christensen has represented a wide range of clients within the government, industrial, real estate, healthcare, and non-profit sectors.
Prior to joining Beach Law Group, Mr. Christensen advocated for several high profile and politically sensitive clients in criminal defense, parole, and civil matters both as a private practice attorney and as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Capital Habeas Unit of the District of Arizona. In the latter role, he represented clients in federal habeas and related matters, including state and federal appellate proceedings. Earlier in his career, Mr. Christensen gained significant private practice experience in both criminal defense and environmental compliance matters under CERCLA.
Education
In 1999, Mr. Christensen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, with an emphasis in Near Eastern Studies. In 2002, Mr. Christensen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in California and Utah.
Personal
Mr. Christensen lives with his family in Bountiful, near Salt Lake City, Utah. In his spare time Mr. Christensen enjoys cooking and baking, music, and spending time with his children.
