Professional Experience


Mark Kuntze is an attorney at the Ventura County office of the Beach Law Group.  He is an avid litigator and advocate who combines legal expertise with sound engineering acumen.

Mr. Kuntze’s legal experience includes the handling of cases involving catastrophic injuries and serving clients in private practice in all facets of civil and criminal litigation.  As a past executive with an industrial electrical engineering  company, he also proudly reflects upon decades of accomplishments and successful affiliation with the automotive, transportation and safety industries.

He has argued cases on appeal before the California Courts of Appeal for the First, Second and Fourth District, the Oregon Court of Appeal, and the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.

Education

Mr. Kuntze earned six undergraduate summa cum laude degrees from the College of Alameda, Berkeley City College, Laney College, and Merritt College in Political Science, Social Science, Business Administration, Business Accounting, Social & Behavioral Science, and in the Arts & Humanities.  He is a Northwestern University School of Public Safety alumnus where he was certified in Level 1 & 2 Crash Data Retrieval, earned a Certificate in Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and completed his legal education in Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Law and a Juris Doctorate from the Colleges of Law – Ventura campus.

Community and Professional Affiliations

Mr. Kuntze is admitted to practice before all California state courts as well as the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit and was previously granted pro hac vice status to the Oregon Court of Appeal.  He is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association as well as a volunteer, teaching children and adolescents the distinct non-confrontational martial art of Aikido.  He is also a participant and active fundraiser at the annual Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride, promoting men’s mental health.

Personal

In his free time, Mr. Kuntze is found practicing and teaching the art of Aikido or working on his classical motorcycle or vintage convertible.  He enjoys the outdoors all around his beloved coastal California home, whether it be by cruising on scenic Pacific Coast Highway, or by hiking at Ojai’s majestic Topa Topa mountain range, often accompanied by his two children, all of whom reside at their beloved Southern California blue-collar beach town of Ventura, graced with world-class point breaks and seaside racetracks, where the ghosts of a once towering oil industry still linger in the shadows where the mountains meet the sea.
