Professional Experience
Jiaying Li is an Associate with the Beach Law Group, LLP. Her practice focuses on the defense of healthcare facilities, healthcare compliance, insurance litigation, premises liability, and general tort litigation.
Ms. Li initially joined the Beach Law Group, LLP as a law clerk in 2021, and continued her clerkship through law school. She joined the firm as an Associate upon her admission to the California Bar in January 2023.
Education
Ms. Li received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in 2022, where she served as a member of the Pepperdine Moot Court Team. She attended the University of Miami from 2015 to 2018, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. She expects to receive her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University in May 2023.
While in law school, Ms. Li externed for the Honorable Sandra R. Klein of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She also served as a law clerk for the Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic and the Pepperdine Restoration and Justice Clinic, where she provided legal services for clients from underprivileged backgrounds and victims of gender-based crimes to facilitate their social reintegration and employment recovery.
Community and Professional Affiliations
Ms. Li is admitted to practice before all California state courts. She is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA) and the Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance (APAWLA).
